Microplastics are becoming an increasingly common part of our environment and our daily exposure.

Research suggests that people may ingest small amounts of microplastics through food, water, and even the air we breathe. These particles have been detected in a wide range of sources, including bottled water, salt, and packaged foods.

Emerging studies are now exploring how microplastics may interact with gut health. Early findings suggest they may influence microbiome balance, gut barrier function, and inflammatory responses.

While the research is still evolving, it highlights an important concept: environmental exposures can impact overall health, including the gut.

The goal isn’t to eliminate every source, that’s not realistic. It’s about reducing unnecessary exposure where possible and supporting the body’s natural resilience 🤍

This may include:

choosing less plastic when possible
limiting highly processed and heavily packaged foods
supporting gut health with nutrient-dense foods

Small, consistent changes can make a meaningful difference over time.

The backstory was incredible… but can we circle back to the DOB real quick? 😂

Certain plant compounds, including sulforaphane, anthocyanins, and polyphenols, have been widely studied for their role in supporting cellular health and helping reduce oxidative stress 🫐🥦

Research continues to show that long-term dietary patterns rich in vegetables, berries, legumes, and tea are associated with a lower risk of several chronic diseases, including certain cancers.

The takeaway? Small daily choices matter.

Adding more colorful, plant-rich foods to your routine doesn’t have to be complicated — consistency over time is what makes the difference.

A few simple ways to start:
• adding berries to breakfast
• including more cruciferous vegetables
• swapping sugary drinks for tea or water
• incorporating more beans and legumes into meals

Your everyday habits help shape your long-term health.

Lifestyle habits continue to have one of the biggest impacts on our long-term health 💙

A large study following more than 59,000 adults over 8 years found that prioritizing three foundational habits, sleep, movement, and nutrition, was associated with longer life expectancy and more years free from chronic disease.

Participants who consistently scored in the healthiest range across these areas gained more than 9 additional years of life, including years free from conditions like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

The encouraging part? Better health doesn’t require perfection or extreme changes.

Often, it’s the small habits repeated consistently that make the biggest difference over time 🌱

That might look like:

taking a 5-minute walk
going to bed a little earlier
adding another serving of vegetables
walking after meals
choosing more water throughout the day

Health is rarely built through one major change, it’s shaped by the small choices we come back to every day.

Peptides are coming up more and more in health conversations, but what really matters is what they’re actually doing in the body.

They’re naturally occurring signaling molecules that help regulate things like recovery, inflammation, metabolism, and cellular repair.

When those systems are supported well, it tends to show up in everyday ways, more steady energy, better recovery, improved sleep, and overall resilience.

At Kare, peptides are used as part of a personalized approach, focused on supporting how your body functions, not a one-size-fits-all fix.

Because real change comes from understanding what your body needs… and supporting it intentionally. ✨
