Meet Ellen! Read below to learn more about her career and reasoning for starting this support group.

โ€œI came to Springfield Regional Medical Center this spring as part of the new neurovascular intervention program. My nursing background is mainly in ER nursing, where I took care of many patients that were actively having a stroke. I moved to a neurosurgery/neurointervention practice four years ago and developed a new appreciation for the aftereffects of a stroke. When I started at SRMC my supervisor explained that he would like to get a support group started in the local area and I ran with it. I feel that it is so important for our patients and their caregivers to have someone to talk to that shares their experience and can understand their feelings.โ€

Thanks Ellen, for the effort you put in to provide this opportunity for the stroke survivors and caregivers of Clark County ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
