💼 Position Overview:
As a Radiation Therapist, you’ll deliver safe and accurate radiation treatments to patients, working closely with Dosimetrists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Physicists. You’ll play a vital role in patient care, treatment planning, and quality assurance.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Perform planning CT scans and deliver prescribed radiation therapy
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and families
• Monitor and report patient conditions and equipment issues
• Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety
• Submit treatment charges and maintain compliance with clinic policies
🎓 Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Registered with ARRT in Radiation Therapy
• Accredited in Radiography with Illinois Emergency Management Agency
• CPR certified (within 30 days of hire)
🧠 Skills Needed:
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, oncology, radiation physics, and safety
• Proficiency with linear accelerators, simulators, and imaging systems
• Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to hazardous materials
