Another way we celebrated Christmas in July was by making some lovely sea glass ornaments and friendship tags, and then hanging them on a tree! The results were lovely!

Today at The Fremont we honored our culinary team on National Culinarians Day! Earlier in July our ambassadors organized a card writing event for the residents to express their appreciation for Chef James Irish and his dedicated culinary staff. A couple of ambassadors were proud to present the cards to him and he then presented the individualized cards to his team. Thank you to all for the cards and thank you to all you hard working culinarians!

It was Christmas in July for the residents at The Fremont! We enjoyed the Christmas music stylings of Rachel Ernst and had Christmas cookies and Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and peppermint! Hot Chocolate you say? Hey it worked with the vibe and we loved it! Yum!

On Sunday July 20th The Fremont celebrated a special birthday and a special person! Peggy Wolfe, one of our Independent Living residents, turned 100! Not only did she reach that amazing milestone but she celebrated it by jumping out of a plane!! AND, it was her 4th time! Her many relatives came from all over the country to be with her on her special day, as well as her friends from The Fremont! Her beautiful banner made by Britteny Rains reads, " 100 Years and 10,000 Feet- A Legacy that Soars!"

Today, in honor of Nelson Mandela Day, The Fremont took one of our Ambassadors to read Arrow's book on Nelson Mandela to some school age kids! This summer program at A Touch of Nature School had a great group of kiddos who gave Ms. Joyce all their attention!
