Fave time of year is watching my little dream wake up ☀️🌱😍

I lost all my peach flowers in those last cold snaps (Missouri has lots of false spring starts 🥶), but my tomato and peppers plantlets are now tucked in the ground. Asparagus, eggs, and herbs have been coming in hot for a few weeks now 🪺 and the raspberries and zinnia volunteers are making their way!!

Emma’s working on a new quail project to add to the mix 🫶🏼 18 years ago I killed everything I grew, but I just do not give up 😅 So fun to have my babies love this as much as I do.

What should I call this space I love? I’m thinking Little Queen City Farm 👑

✨✨Let’s talk about THE FOOD at The Shared Table Retreat ✨✨

I’m Stephanie, a registered dietitian, and I’m all about culinary nutrition—making meals that are healthy and actually taste amazing 🔥

I teach cooking classes to help people feel comfortable in the kitchen and get excited about food and nutrition. For me, it’s about adding things that feel (and taste!) good, not taking things away or following a bunch of rules.

Every weekend, I’ve been testing recipes for our retreat- on the hunt for meals that are colorful, satisfying, and full of flavor.

The best part? It’s all included in the cost of the retreat. All meals, cooking classes, and unlimited access to RDs for the weekend (my cohosts, Lindsay Sparks and Jaime Gnau are so goooood at what they do!)

Mostly, it’s about feeling confident in the kitchen and actually enjoying what you’re eating, knowing it’s supporting your health goals. Can’t wait to cook with you!

Hi! Steph Mitchell Urich here. Being the Southwest Regional Director for MOAND is stretching me in some good ways, and I’m so thankful for the RDs and RD2Bes who came out to our Speed Networking event at on Saturday!

Lindsay Sparks, RDN led us through a “speed-dating” style game that helped us all get to know each other better *real* quick 👯 Students catered a DELICIOUS meal that I’m still thinking about 😋

Fun stuff coming up: RD appreciation gifts in honor of National Nutrition Month, monthly early Saturday morning coffees at local shops around town, and our grand finale before summer 🍽️ The Local Table Tour 🍽️

When it’s breakfast for dinner but you are feeling fancy so you add a cup of water to the pancake batter and call it crepes ♥️
Also when your natural light is gone so you practice with the super-saturated food photo trend and you aren’t sure how you feel about it?! Regardless, delicious. And nutritious! Frozen fruit has just as much vit C and fiber as fresh AND can be a little cheaper this time of year 🙌🏼 1/2 scoop of whole wheat flour subbed for all-purpose plus vanilla yogurt/creamy cheese filling =higher protein + fiber 💪🏼
