Rose-Anne from Valley Health Connections spent part of her Saturday in Londonderry at the Dedication of North Star Health Dolores Barbeau Mobile Health van. Call our office for an appointment for help with your prescription and/or medical health insurance during open enrollment. We will be heading to Mountain Valley Health to provide in person assistance during open enrollment. Please call Monday thru Friday, ,802-885-1616 to get more information or set up an appointment in one of our locations. We will also be re-opening our outreach locations at the Rockingham Health Center, and the Springfield Health Center as well. There is never a charge for our services.

Thank you so much to all those who applied for the Eligibility Assistance Coordinator position at Valley Health Connections. We had a wonderful, large pool of applicants, and are in the process of interviewing the finalists. There are so many talented people in our region with some great skills and experience. We hope to be introducing our new team member to you very soon, although I have to say, it will be a very difficult decision. At the same time, it's very exciting!

For the first time in over 10 years Valley Health Connections has an opening for a Full or Part time Eligibility Coordinator. We are a non-profit, Referral Free Clinic based in Springfield, VT, serving residents from 50 different towns and over 1200 patients annually. Candidates should have some college, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer and basic math skills, be comfortable with database entry, and working in a confidential/HIPAA compliant work environment. Organizational skills with a detailed focus, as well as critical thinking are keys to becoming part of our team. A sense of humor and deep commitment to patient centered interactions is a requirement. The successful applicant will have to pass a criminal background check and undergo extensive training to include becoming a Certified Assister for Vermont Health Connect, work one on one with patients in person, and over the phone to address barriers that affect their access to care. This is a benefitted position pro-rated on FT(30+)/PT (less than 30 hrs/wk) status, with a starting rate based on skills, education and experience, of not less than $23/hr. For those who are on Medicaid there is normally a review annually that is conducted by VT Health Connect or Green Mountain Care to confirm that you continue to qualify for this program. For the last 2+ years there has been a Federal Health Emergency those reviews have been suspended. The Public Health Emergency will be coming to an end this summer and your eligibility is going to be reviewed.
IMPORTANT TO PREPARE:
Make sure your Mailing Address is up to date. If not, you will not receive notices and you will be removed from the program for not responding. You can update by calling VT Health Connect at 1-855-899-9600, or you can call us at Valley Health Connections if you need help. There is never a charge for our assistance.
