Across Latin America and the Caribbean, ChildHope serves children in some of the hardest places to grow up — neighborhoods marked by poverty, violence, and uncertainty.

In every ChildHope classroom, students receive more than an education. They’re surrounded by teachers who love Jesus and feel called to reach their students with His hope. Through compassion ministries, meals, and daily care, their physical needs are met.

But the greatest transformation comes as they discover a relationship with Jesus and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit — the kind of hope that changes a child’s story and future forever.

Compassion. Education. Transformation.
That’s the heart of ChildHope.

When second-grader Keren at Linda Vista Christian School comes to class each morning, her smile hides a powerful story of faith.

Earlier this year, her mother, Ivania, was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. The months that followed were filled with hospital stays, weakness, and hunger—but also prayer and hope.

ChildHope stood beside this family every step of the way. Keren’s school provided meals, encouragement, and the Word of God when they needed it most.

Today, Ivania says: “God in His mercy gave me that great miracle — my healing.”

Because of ChildHope sponsors, Keren and her brothers are learning, growing, and walking in faith. And this Christmas, she’ll receive what may be her only gift — one chosen with love by her teachers, thanks to friends like you.

You are part of her miracle. ❤️

“Let the little children come to me…”

Jesus said it — and His words still echo today.

But in Latin America and the Caribbean, poverty tries to block their path.

• It steals opportunity from the classroom.
• It whispers to children that their dreams don’t matter.
• It burdens families with impossible choices between food, medicine, and survival.

ChildHope pushes back with hope, clearing the way with education, safety, and spiritual care. In every classroom, children are reminded that they are loved, that their future matters, and that with God, all things are possible.

✈️ This past August, Darrek and Lindsey Arneson and their three kids stepped into full-time missions with ChildHope!

🎓 After graduating from language school, their family moved to Honduras to begin a brand-new chapter: setting up their new home and ministering alongside 9 ChildHope schools across the country.

In Honduras, where 45% of high school-aged students are not in school and gang recruitment begins as early as age 12, their calling is urgent and clear:

📚 Help students stay in school
🍽️ Support feeding programs
✝️ Show the love of Jesus

Together—with their kids by their side—they’re believing for generational change, one child at a time.

Pray for the whole family as they prepare to bring hope to Honduras!

What do you do with a seventh grader full of anger?

Nayelli felt abandoned.
Her mom had moved to the U.S. for work.
She was sent to live with her grandmother.
And she was angry.

She began rebelling against her teachers and disrupting classes. She was lost.

But her ChildHope school didn’t give up on her.

They didn’t just try to correct her — they prayed for her. They welcomed her in chapel. They showed her love and grace every single day.

And slowly, Nayelli began to heal.

“She’s back to being the smiling, loving girl she used to be,” her school director shared.

This is what ChildHope education is all about — not just academics, but redemption.

Every child deserves a safe and loving place to live and learn.

For Aithana, that came through sponsorship. For Heidi, it came through obedience to God’s call. Together, their story is a picture of hope.

Poverty says: “You are forgotten.”
Hope in Christ says: “You are seen, loved, and called by name.”

At every ChildHope school, children hear this truth — through scripture, through prayer, through the love of their teachers.

“Let the little children come to me…” (Matthew 19:14)

Together, we declare God’s hope is stronger than poverty’s lie.

What does poverty really do?
📉 It steals opportunities.
🚫 It silences dreams.
😔 It leaves children feeling unseen.

That’s the reality for millions of children across Latin America and the Caribbean.

But through ChildHope schools, those barriers are being broken. Children are welcomed into classrooms where they receive:
✔️ A strong education
✔️ Nutritious meals
✔️ The hope of Christ

Every day, your support reminds them: you are not forgotten.

What does poverty really do?
It stretches our local leaders to the breaking point.

ChildHope directors and teachers don’t just educate — they carry the weight of their communities. They pray. They listen. And, thanks to your support, they act.

Every donation to ChildHope fuels their work — so no teacher faces a crisis alone.

Paula Cortes has served as a teacher at the ChildHope school in Teotitlan, Oaxaca, since the very beginning. Right now, she is also the acting director.

But recently, Paula was fighting for her life.

With just 4% kidney function, she urgently needed dialysis twice a week. But on her small school salary, she could only afford one treatment per week.

Because of the generosity of people like you, ChildHope was able to step in. Through the Extreme Poverty Fund, Paula received the funds she needed to pay for 2 treatments a week—a lifeline when she needed it most.

She's still receiving treatment—and still serving the children of her community. And she’s deeply grateful.

You made this possible.

“The teachers treat me so well here — they don’t yell at me!”

These are the words of Ariel, a 9-year-old boy who couldn’t contain his joy when he returned to his ChildHope school this year.

Family struggles had taken him out of the safe, loving environment of his school. He was placed elsewhere, but he didn’t thrive. He was withdrawn and unhappy.

That’s when caring leaders from his school went looking for him. They spoke with his mother, and together made a way for him to come “home” again.

The moment Ariel walked back through the gates, he was full of smiles, hugs, and gratitude. Once again, he is learning and growing in a place where he is surrounded by God’s love.

💙 Every child deserves this kind of safe, welcoming place to learn. Please pray for Ariel — and for many children like him — to continue thriving in their ChildHope schools.

Every day, our local leaders face urgent, life-changing needs — a child needing surgery, a family in crisis, a teacher battling cancer. They don’t just teach. They listen. They pray. And they act.

Meet Ana Celia, a ChildHope school director in El Salvador. When a parent calls in tears because they can’t afford medication for their child, she doesn’t just offer comfort — thanks to the Extreme Poverty Fund, she can offer help.

Once the need is verified, we step in with support that would otherwise be out of reach.

This is more than a job. It’s a calling.

And your support makes it possible.💛
