From our friends at Bloodworks Northwest:

Our region is facing a critical blood shortage, with a supply of only one to two days for some blood types. Patients can’t wait, and your donation can save lives today.

Donations have dropped sharply, forcing us to bring in blood from outside the region. This is only a temporary solution and cannot keep up with growing local patient needs.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — a leader who challenged injustice, confronted oppression, and called us to build a more equitable and compassionate society.

At PeaceHealth, we reflect on how Dr. King’s work continues to shape our responsibility to care for one another, stand against inequity, and support the dignity and humanity of every person. On this Day of Service and Reflection, we come together — caregivers, leaders, and communities alike — to honor his legacy through learning, service and action. https://ow.ly/VVzQ50XVFe2
