John Lee Wilson

John Lee Wilson, age 62, of Greenbrier, TN passed away at his home on February 20th, 2026. John was born in Springfield, TN, on August 5th, 1963. He was able to live a life that was rich in family, friends, and time spent in the great outdoors.

John is preceded in death by his mother Faye Daniel Wilson, his paternal grandparents Elmer and Annie Wilson, as well as his maternal grandparents John and Ruby Daniel. He is survived by his beloved wife Melissa Smith Wilson, his father Herman (Georgia) Wilson, sister Julia (Mark) Bennett, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his constant companions Poppy, Jake, Emma, and Molly. Although he is gone his memory will forever reside within them all.

From an early age, he displayed a profound love for the great outdoors, fondly recalling moments spent riding alongside his father in the farm truck, feeding baby cows, awakening a passion that would follow him through life. This love for nature not only shaped his early years but carried him through decades as he nurtured friendships and explored the winding trails on his side-by-side.

John's career was a testament to his dedication and ingenuity; he proudly owned and operated his own trucking company and thrived as a mechanic up until his retirement. His hands, often caked with oil and dust, served not only as tools of trade but as vessels of love as he poured his heart into every project.

His true happiness unfolded around the warmth of gatherings, with evenings often spent by the fire pit, where laughter echoed against the backdrop of the starry night. A true master of the grill, John was awarded the coveted 'Pig Award' by friends at the lake, a recognition of his culinary prowess. He particularly enjoyed cooking up meals that brought people together. Sharing food and meals one of his greatest love languages, and found immense joy in smoking meats alongside his dear friend Robert, serving the entire campground with pride.

John’s generous spirit was magnified in moments spent gardening, nurturing his plot of land with the same love he poured into relationships. His ability to connect with those around him, whether deep in conversation or simply sharing the quiet of a sunset, made him a steadfast presence in the lives of many.

Surrounded by family in the comfort of his home, John transitioned from this world, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven with affection, laughter, and shared meals. He is survived by a vibrant community of friends who will forever honor the spirit of camaraderie and love he embodied.

A memorial gathering will take place on March 1, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM, both held at the Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172.

Jimmy Ray Wilson

Jimmy Ray “JR” Wilson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 76. Born on April 16, 1949, in Portland, Tennessee, Jimmy attended Coopertown High School. He touched the lives of many through his generous spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering support for those in need.

Family was at the heart of Jimmy's life. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, Bonnie Wilson, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Jimmy took great pride in being a father to his children—Kasey Wilson (Donald) Ayers, Charlie Wilson, Kenneth Wilson along with their mother Lisa Wilson, Timmy Wilson and Tina Deering along with their mother Patricia Newby, and gained Kalee (Austin) Gulledge and Shelby (Bubba Shannon) Cook when he married Bonnie. He was also the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and he found immense joy in creating lasting memories with them. The laughter shared during visits from his grandchildren—Jason Wilson, Louann Wilson, Madison Wilson, and Emmy Ayers—was a true highlight of his life. Jimmy had a remarkable ability to spread joy wherever he went. Known for his comedic character, he could bring laughter to any gathering within minutes. His genuine nature and straightforward approach meant that he was never afraid to speak his mind, always ensuring that those around him knew his thoughts. His playful charm extended to places like the grocery store and the Robertson County Recycling Center, where he worked, leaving a trail of smiles in his wake. Jimmy was also a dedicated and hardworking man, always giving his best whether he was at home, at work, or lending a hand to someone in need.

A true handyman, Jimmy was known for his creativity in piddling and finding treasures where others might overlook them. Always a bit of a wheeler‑and‑dealer, he had a knack for turning those finds into something useful or meaningful. He found happiness in spending time in his garage, crafting rocking chairs and fixing cars—activities that showcased his remarkable skills and resourcefulness.

Jimmy's legacy will forever be defined by his selflessness and dedication to his family and friends, holding dear the roles of Dad, Grumps, and Grandpa. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles E. and Mary Josephine Wilson, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
