We’re honored to be featured in the Providers' Council Membership Monday
Thank you for recognizing our mission-driven work and celebrating our amazing staff who work tirelessly every day to build stronger, more inclusive communities!

At our core, we believe in creating a world where individuals with disabilities and other disadvantages find true acceptance, inclusion, and access. Through our network of services—from employment support and job training to skill-building and community living programs and our Clubhouses , we connect people’s unique strengths and goals with real opportunities.

The result? A vibrant community of connection where everyone thrives together. When we champion inclusion and access, we don’t just change individual lives we create stronger businesses and communities for all.

We also wanted to share what Kala, who is an Employment and Training Supervisor, shared with us regarding the work she does every day, her experience and he passion:
“Stepping into the wild world of employment can be scary and I’m there to provide that support. Viability has helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I continue to be passionate about breaking down those misconceptions and creating opportunities for those we serve. It doesn’t hurt that I enjoy my Viability crew tremendously which continues to fuel my passion for the job."

"The Central Falls Police Department reached out to us to help and assist with their National Night Out. Central Falls is a community with great an opportunity for community support. The police department cooked for the community, gave backpacks out, organized games, activities and raffles for all!
Our team from Rhode Island represented us doing such a fantastic job!

Lt. Sarah McNulty assisted our students with internships and job explorations. When she asked us to be there, we instantly said, “yes!”
Carlos Smith and Jacob Resnick did such an amazing job representing Viability! Thank you Carlos and Jacob! A beautiful community night, especially for the little ones!

How we Engage Together in Our Mission! Limits!

How We Engage Together in Our Mission

Viability stands on the belief that upholding the dignity inherent to all human beings is essential to how we serve, collaborate as colleagues, and succeed in our mission. Acknowledging the visible and invisible qualities that make us both alike and unique is integral to our ability to meet each individual where they are and partner with them to develop effective ways forward. It is just as important for engaging a workforce where all who support our mission can bring their skills and talents to our work. Striving to create services and an environment that are accessible, responsive and provide meaningful opportunities to thrive for and with each unique individual we serve must be a daily practice. It is also an ongoing, imperfect quest. Viability recognizes that we have, and will always have, more work to do to continually further the skills, positive teamwork and collaboration necessary for mission delivery and workplace satisfaction. We are committed to continuous learning, engaging in open dialogue, adapting our policies and practices, and improving. Together with our Board of Directors, Viability’s Leadership Team has centered growth and success for our program participants and staff in the agency’s strategic priorities. We believe that encompassing different abilities, styles, perspectives, backgrounds and strengths in our services and workplace not only provides opportunities for all who share in our mission but also strengthens our organization and communities.

🎨✨ Amazing creativity happening in our day programs! Our talented members dove into abstract art, splashing vibrant colors across canvases and letting their imaginations run wild.
There's something truly magical about watching someone discover their artistic voice, every brushstroke tells a story, every color choice reflects a moment of pure self-expression. Art has this incredible power to break down barriers and give everyone a chance to communicate in their own unique way.
The joy and pride on our members' faces as they stepped back to admire their colorful masterpieces was absolutely priceless! 💙 These aren't just paintings – they're windows into brilliant, creative minds that deserve to be celebrated.
Keep creating, keep expressing, keep being wonderfully YOU! 🌈

PASSED: An Act facilitating better interactions between police officers and persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The bill will codify into law a voluntary program that provides blue envelopes, upon request, to drivers with Autism Spectrum Disorder that holds the drivers license and registration and can be handed to police in the event of a traffic stop. These envelopes also include guidance for the police officer to help facilitate communication in what can be a highly stressful and triggering situation.

Grateful to my colleagues in the Senate for unanimously voting Yes. Thank you to The Arc of Massachusetts and AFAM - Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts for their incredible advocacy.

This bill is now in the House of Representatives for its consideration.
