Why would an OT bring a kite to therapy? 🪁
Because flying a kite builds so much more than fun.
Running to lift it strengthens coordination and endurance. Holding the string works hand strength and bilateral coordination. Watching it soar challenges visual tracking, focus, and body awareness — all while regulating the sensory system through movement, wind, and open space.
Therapy doesn’t always look like a table and chair. Sometimes it looks like fresh air, laughter, and skills growing naturally through play.
