From Training to Triumph: Stephen’s Journey to Employment Through the Arc of Union County’s Custodial Technician Program.

Meet Stephen! His story is one of determination, growth, and success. As a graduate of The Arc of Union County’s Custodial Technician Program, Stephen has transformed his passion for cleaning and maintenance into a meaningful career—thanks to a structured training pathway designed to empower individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Stephen embraced every aspect of the12-week program's curriculum, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence that quickly set him apart.

“Stephen was focused from day one,” said one of his instructors. “He showed up early, asked thoughtful questions, and took pride in every task. His growth was remarkable.”

Upon completing the program, Stephen earned three industry-recognized credentials: a Certificate of Completion, OSHA 10 Safety Certification, and the ISSA-CITS Cleaning Professional credential. These qualifications not only validated his technical skills but also positioned him competitively in the job market.

During the staff in-service, The Opportunities Program focused on team building exercises, getting to know each other while considering different perspectives, visions, goals and thought processes. The team expressed their gratitude for these exercises while keeping the morning light and entertaining - We even celebrated with confetti poppers!

🍎Delicious Orchards Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser 🥧
Order your holiday pies just in time for Thanksgiving! 🦃 Save yourself the drive and the hassle of the crowds.

Each pie is made without additives or preservatives and using the original farm recipes. These beloved treats are made from scratch (right down to the crust!) and sold fresh, w/instructions for heating or if you wish to freeze them.

All proceeds from this fundraiser are earmarked for upgrading and replacing our current fitness equipment - which is put to great use daily in our Adult Day Programs!
