If there are local closings due to winter weather, your Therapist should reach out to you to make a plan for your scheduled session. You are also welcome to call or text with questions or concerns about your appointment.

Throwback to 2021 for this message for World Mental Health Day. It's not always easy to prioritize taking care of our mental health, but it is SO worth it. 🙌🏼

Today is World Mental Health Day. At F&F we are passionate about ending mental health stigma, normalizing therapy, and supporting our community's mental health resources. But today, instead of posting statistics or a call to action, we simply want to express our love and gratitude. What an enormous privilege to work in a profession where we hold space with some of the most beautiful people. We are proud of you for prioritizing your mental and emotional well-being. We are honored to be trusted with your journey.

If you have been by the F&F office at any point over the summer, then you may have noticed some big changes. We want to thank our clients for their patience and flexibility throughout all of the unexpected noise and disruptions! Unfortunately, we don’t usually get any advanced notice on the renovations. We will continue to adapt to unexpected noise/commotion the best we can. Please feel free to discuss any concerns or questions with your counselor.

Congrats to Jillian! She is now fully certified in Geek Therapy. 🥳

“The term Geek Therapy was coined by Josué Cardona in 2011 and refers to a specific model of integrating Geek culture into practice. He was inspired by the Geek culture and mental health work of Lawrence Rubin, Robin Rosenberg, Patrick O’Connor, and others, and his clinical training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City, to develop his model further.

Our little pond is frozen and snow covered. It has been a VERY blustery weekend! Today, we are grateful for a warm, cozy office!

We have hot tea or coffee, blankets to wrap up in, couches to curl up on, and warming scents in the diffuser to help you feel safe and “at home” during sessions this week!
