Things got creepy-crawly at The Montvale Senior Living today! 🕷️There were spiders in our hair, on our faces, and even on our walkers! We also made the cutest spider cookies with our Culinary Director, Cody Clinton.

Join us for our Trick-or-Treat Happy Hour on Friday, October 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and enjoy these spider cookies along with other festive treats! 🎃

October 25 is Spina Bifida Awareness Day. It’s observed each year to raise awareness about spina bifida — a congenital condition that affects the spinal cord and surrounding vertebrae during fetal development. It’s one of the most common birth defects affecting the nervous system. To honor the day, we delivered baby blankets to the Carol Jo Vecchie NICU at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Here at The Montvale Senior Living, we are all about giving back to the community. Our residents are always shopping at our local Goodwill Industries International, so we thought we would give thanks! A fresh batch of delicious cookies were prepared by our amazing culinary team and they were hand delivered by Logan, our Business Operations Director, for all of the staff to enjoy!🍪

Diwali, also known as the ‘Festival of Lights,’ is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs and symbolizes light over darkness and good over evil. It was the theme of our candlelight dinner this evening, where we enjoyed trying new foods in celebration.
