Many cooling centers are located in Springfield. They offer safe, air-conditioned space for people to escape the dangerous temperatures and heat index. All listed also provide information regarding access to other essentials such as water, bathroom facilities, and information about other community resources. The ability to rest and relax in a cool environment can also have positive impacts on mental well-being during these ongoing stressful heat days.
