A Call for Support to Our Springfield Community
For over 13 years, our small business has been proud to be a part of the Springfield community. We’ve built our dream here, thanks to the incredible support from all of you, our amazing customers.
Today, we are facing our greatest challenge, and we are reaching out to you, our community, for your support.
Our business is caught in the crossfire of a contentious legal proceeding. As a result, we have suffered severe and direct financial harm. A critical, already-approved SBA loan that would have secured our future was denied solely due to the open status of this case. Our ability to operate and access credit has been severely damaged, pushing a beloved local institution toward closure.
We have taken formal action regarding the legal tactics we believe have been used against us. A detailed complaint has been filed with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC), the state body that oversees attorney conduct. This complaint outlines what we believe to be a systematic effort to destabilize our financial standing.
This is not just a business story; it’s a family story. The same legal strategies that have harmed our business have also been used to severely restrict a father’s relationship with his children, as detailed in the ARDC filing. We believe everyone deserves a fair process and that legal tactics should not be weaponized to destroy businesses or families.
We are fighting not just for our survival, but for the principle that our legal system should be used fairly and ethically.
