Our Autism Resource Specialist Jamie McGranahan, alongside her son Connor, led an assembly at Wanda Gray Elementary that included a reading of Who You Are by Todd Parr and a thoughtful conversation about what life is like with a disability. Thank you to the Missouri Mental Health Commission for visiting the Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center!

Director of the Missouri Department of Mental Health Val Huhn and the commission spent time touring our facility and meeting with our team to learn more about the services and supports available in southwest Missouri.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast for their generous donation to The Arc of the Ozarks!

Their support will allow us to purchase a HyperVibe machine for the Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center. This specialized equipment helps individuals who have difficulty initiating movement or need additional sensory input to stay calm, focused, and ready for therapy—helping us support many children as they build confidence, regulation, and engagement in therapy.

Mr. Lou is such a hard-working man! He enjoys attending activities at DCO twice a week, including yoga. 🧘‍♂️ Last week he took on the role of teacher and showed his staff some of his favorite yoga moves. His lesson was enjoyed by everyone!
