Carr Physical Therapy & Sport Performance is looking for a bright, motivated Physical Therapist (Healer), to be a member of our Outpatient Physical Therapy team in Springfield, MO. We help patients with orthopedic and neurological dysfunction, athletes successfully return to their sport or activity, and people return to work with occupational rehabilitation. We also offer services to auto and personal injury patients that need access to health care, and we do a variety of screens, testing and evaluations. We utilize a wide variety of Manual Therapy techniques, exercise and modalities, as well as our gifted ability to create an environment filled with joy and laughter that allows for better healing. Our commitment to the very finest brand of customer service and our mission to help others is present in everything we do, in every interaction we have. We are looking for a gifted Physical Therapist with a bright, fun, healing personality that wants to love the work they get to do. A background in athletics is an advantage but it is certainly not required.

Job type: Part time to Full-time with flexible hours.

Meet our new employee Erin!!

Erin is from Spokane, MO where she attended Spokane HS and was a 5 sport athlete. In 2010 she graduated from College of the Ozarks with a degree in Kinesiology/Health and Wellness with a minor in Business. Erin was a 4 year college volleyball player and received First team All Conference honors. She has coached elite level volleyball for 15 years ranging from junior high age through NCAA Division 1. Erin is passionate about helping others reach their physical goals. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, play indoor and outdoor volleyball, and travel!

Cassidy is the newest gifted healer on the Carr Therapy team. She recently completed a B.S. in Exercise and Movement Science from MSU. Cassidy is native to Springfield and loves to workout, run, and spend time at the lake. She also loves playing with Tucker, her golden retriever.

Today’s topic: Vertigo. Have you ever felt like your world was spinning or felt dizzy or light headed? There may be a possibility you were experiencing BPPV. BPPV or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is the most common cause of dizzy spells in the elderly. It’s described as episodic vertigo, related to position and lasts for several seconds. Many people do not realize this can be an evaluated and treated condition with physical therapy! As always consult with your physical therapist for farther questions and treatments.🌪 We accept all insurances 😊

Today’s Topic: SQUATS
During our day to day activities we are constantly performing this movement. Getting in and out of your car, chair, bed, bending down to pick something up, going up and down the stairs. It’s used everywhere! Squats help strengthen your quads/glutes/calves and even have properties for core strengthening. 💪🏼 this exercises is used constantly in the PT world and is a fan favorite by everyone!

Today’s topic: ROWS -
Rows are an excellent exercise that are used frequently in the physical therapy world. They increase strength, provide stability, and allow for great ranges of motion in the upper extremities. They can be used for pts with neck pain, post shoulder surgery, or chronic pain involving the arms/neck/mid back.

Always consult with your physical therapist before trying an exercise to ensure it is safe for you to use! 👩🏼‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️
