Meet McKayla Miller, Registered Nurse. Serving as Assistant Director of Nursing and Infection Preventionist. McKayla has been with Sunterra for 2 years this month!

Professional Background: Prior Travel Nurse, Inpatient Nurse, and Charge Nurse. Specializing in Post Acute Rehabilitation Nursing.

Skills and interest: Specialized in caring for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, stroke, trauma, and complex medical conditions, with a strong focus on restoring function, and independence.

“I genuinely enjoy the collaborative nature of nursing—bringing together different perspectives, advocating for patient needs, and helping bridge communication between disciplines. Being part of a cohesive team that works toward shared goals is deeply rewarding, especially in post-acute rehabilitation where progress is visible and impactful. US News has awarded us Best Short-Term Rehabilitation. We are incredibly thankful for our team who provides outstanding care day in and day out and who make this award possible.

This award also wouldn’t be possible without every single patient and their families who has trusted us to provide exceptional care to their loved ones. We look forward to many more years of providing our community with the best short-term rehabilitation around. ❤️❤️

Sunterra Springs Springfield is actively seeking a Facilities Manager!

If you’re looking to be part of an incredible team, this just might be the role for you!

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
-Experience in a supervisory capacity, in maintenance related position.
-Valid drivers license with a Class E.
-Maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility or long term care facility (preferred).
-A working understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and various mechanical/architectural systems.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
-Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the environmental service departments.
-Ensures the facility remains in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
-Prepares operating and staffing budgets for the environmental service departments and monitors monthly.
-Plans and monitors regular building maintenance and repairs.
-Other duties as assigned.

Congratulations to our November and December employees of the month!

November employee of the month, Tanda Banks CMT. Tanda goes above and beyond for our facility, she’s always look for ways to get involved, and get people excited! We are so fortunate we have her.

December employee of the month, Darnell Rodriguez. Darnell is a COTA here at Sunterra, he is always will to jump in and help out his team mates and always has the best attitude. Our team and patients think he’s the best!

We had so much fun eating, playing games, winning prizes, and just getting to hang out with each other.
