At Gateway Counseling, our therapists and staff have provided quality, informed, and compassionate care to the Springfield community since 1989. Our team of clinicians provide quality treatment for personal, family, marriage, addiction, and spiritual counseling needs. They specialize in the treatment of relationship problems, complex trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, and dissociative disorders.

Nathen D. Ransom is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri who earned his B.S. in Psychology from Evangel University and his M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Nathen is trained in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), a trauma focused therapy approach, as well as other trauma-informed therapy approaches. Nathen’s areas of expertise include complex trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, and dissociative disorders. Nathen has a passion for working with adolescents and adults to overcome negative life experiences and find hope for a better future. He sees clients in his office setting and is available for Telehealth/video sessions when appropriate.
