Last week, we celebrated our amazing culinary team who keep our residents nourished and smiling every day! 🌮 On National Taco Day, we enjoyed a festive Taco Bar 🌟, treated ourselves to refreshing smoothies for a healthy pick-me-up 🥤, and wrapped it all up with swag bags full of goodies 🎁.

🌟 WOW Moment with Ms. Jacqueline 🌟

Music has always been at the heart of Ms. Jacqueline’s story. She wrote, performed, and recorded her own albums, and while her husband John wasn’t much of a musician himself, he stood by her side every step of the way. Along the journey, Jacqueline built lifelong friendships with fellow musicians who shared her passion for performing.

This week, we brought the music back to her 🎶. With the help of Sweet Mountain Laurel, Jacqueline’s original songs filled the air once again for her neighbors and family. To her delight, one of her former bandmates even surprised her by joining in! Surrounded by familiar melodies and the people she loves most, Jacqueline beamed with joy the entire time.

From old stage photos to new treasured memories, Jacqueline’s smile continues to light up every room she’s in—and we were honored to celebrate her music and legacy with this unforgettable Wow Moment. 💛

We are so incredibly proud to announce that our very own Executive Director, Amanda Waggy, has been named the 2025 Assisted Living Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association - Virginia Center for Assisted Living.

At last night’s VHCA-VCAL gala, she was surprised with this well-deserved award surrounded by leadership from Retirement Unlimited Incorporated along with a surprise visit from her family who attended to join in the celebration!

Everyone who knows Amanda knows that she makes a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Her joy is abundant, her leadership is steadfast, and her compassion is everflowing.
