Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents. We have 88 beds for boys and girls, ages 3-17. Model representations of real patients are shown.

Inpatient – our Inpatient care provides a safe, nurturing and comfortable setting for patients seeking acute care. MISA/Dual Diagnosis – we offer specialized programming for our Inpatient adolescents who are seeking treatment for mental health and substance abuse disorders. Partial Hospitalization – we offer intensive and structured treatment similar to the Inpatient program, but your child is abl

e to continue working on their treatment in the family and community setting. This is often a step down program for those who no longer meet the criteria for our Inpatient unit. Outpatient – we offer therapy provided by Bachelors and Masters level professionals who will help your child with individual treatment plans to address any social, school, community and family issues. Welcome to May and Mental Health Awareness Month πŸ’š

Parents and caregivers are often the first to notice when something feels different. Changes in mood, sleep, appetite or behavior may signal a young person needs support. Paying attention to patterns, having open conversations, and connecting children and teens to support early can make a meaningful difference. https://lincolnprairiebhc.com/blog/how-to-help-a-teenager-with-mental-health-issues/

πŸ’™ Blue for a Purpose πŸ’™

Our team showed up in blue for Wear Blue Day in support of both Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Autism Awareness Month. Since blue represents both causes, staff were invited to wear blueβ€”and yes, jeans too! πŸ‘–

It was a simple but meaningful way to raise awareness, show support, and stand together for children, families, and our community.

Watching your teen struggle with their mental health is heartbreaking, especially when weekly therapy appointments just aren't enough. πŸ’œ April is the Month of the Military Child, a special time to honor the resilience of military-connected children and teens. These young heroes often face unique emotional and behavioral health challenges due to the sacrifices their families make. By recognizing and sharing this observance, we validate their experiences and reaffirm our commitment to supporting military families every step of the way.

Join us in celebrating their strength and courage this April! πŸ’œ
