HomeCare Hands & HCH EDU are offering a virtual seminar designed for healthcare professionals, frontline staff, and others in the healthcare field who want to strengthen their skills in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
This training provides foundational education and practical strategies for supporting individuals living with dementia — and meets the seminar requirement to apply for Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) status through NCCDP.

💻 Live, interactive sessions held via Zoom | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
💲 $200 per participant (includes digital workbook & certificate of attendance)

We’re excited to launch a new dementia education series through HomeCare Hands, created to empower and support anyone involved in the care of someone living with dementia.
We’re grateful to Cedarbrook for hosting the first session for their community:

📚 Course 1: Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Led by our Nurse Educator and Certified Dementia Practitioner, this session offers valuable insights and practical tools to help care partners feel more confident, informed, and supported. Topics include:
– Definition of Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia
– Comparative overview of dementia types & risk factors
– Stages of the disease process
– Impacts on daily living and functioning
– Recent research, treatment, technology & adaptive tools
🌐 We also offer the following courses, which can be taken individually or as a complete series. These sessions can be hosted by a community, facility, or organization—either as a public or private event. They're also available for small group formats or even 1:1.
