Hey! Old founding member here. I'm reaching out because I have a volunteer opportunity that may be of interest to some of the members.
I'm also on the board of directors for a volunteer first aid organization that specializes in pop culture events (think like Comic Con). In February, we will be working a convention just outside of Washington DC.
If there is anyone free, and willing to travel to the area, to help volunteer basic first aid, we would be eternally grateful. Room, food, and a pass to the event are all included, and while I can't guarantee it, I'm sure we can reimburse for gas.
I feel bad asking for help like this, considering how far away we are, but it was worth a shot to ask. This would count for volunteer hours, and I would be more than happy to sign off on any forms they need for that/references/etc.
I'll be getting my alumni dues in as soon as I can get my account back, hah.
