This Sunday, we came together with hundreds of community members in downtown Northampton to advocate for and celebrate healthcare access for all. Together, we raised over $44,000!

At Tapestry, we believe everyone deserves healthcare, no matter their circumstances. During the event, we heard inspiring remarks from Representative Lindsay Sabadosa and Senator Jo Comerford, who reinforced our mission. Walk participants also enjoyed performances by Certified Entity and Banshee, The Expandable Brass Band, Q***r Joy Chorus, and the Valley Q***rleaders, along with delicious treats from Familiars, Florence Pie Bar, and River Valley Co-op.

As CEO, Mavis Nimoh shared in her speech at the Walk: “We walk because no matter your race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or socioeconomic status—everyone matters and everyone deserves the same and equitable right to thrive and survive.”

We’re proud to stand with our community in showing that healthcare for all matters—and are grateful to be surrounded by such strong support at the first Walk For Every Body.

We can’t wait to come together today for the Walk For Every Body!

Below you’ll find some reminders and the route map. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at 413 596 2016 or giving@tapestryhealth.org.

Health and Safety: Police officers and vehicles will be present at the event and along the route as part of the road closure in the event there is a public or road safety concern.

If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911. If you have a medical or health concern that is non-emergent, please find a Tapestry volunteer for assistance. (413 586 2016).

Volunteers: All walk volunteers will be wearing orange vests and black bandanas. If you need assistance of any kind, please find a volunteer.

Route:The walk route starts and ends on Strong Ave and is available to be viewed here: https://p2p.onecause.com/tapestrywalk/home. There will be volunteers posted at all route turning points to guide you.

Accessibility + Bathrooms: The walk portion of the event will be on the road with room for anyone who needs to use a mobility support and/or strollers.

ADA compliant gender-neutral restrooms are available for use in Familiars.

We will have folding chair seating available at the block party.

GROUND RULES:

- Stigma-free zone
