The Massachusetts legislature did not fully fund the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) for the current fiscal year. As of December 1st, SNAP recipients will receive only $20 per month to purchase produce at participating farmers’ markets and vendors, down from the previous $40, $60, or $80 per month based on household size. HIP helps Mass farmers grow and sell more produce and helps Mass residents eat more nutritious foods – it’s a win-win and legislators need to know about it! Had a wonderful time tonight presenting to an interested group at New England Functional Fitness. My new client! Little ones mom nonchalantly placed my brochure and business card on her sleeping baby. I just had to snap a photo with Dad’s permission of course. So precious! 🥰🍎 Thank you for inviting me to share nutrition health information.
