A mayoral proclamation was also read declaring December 20th 2025 Jim Zavakos day in Springfield.

The Jeff Schmitt Auto Group is proud to announce Daybreak Dayton as the fourth and final finalist in the 2025 Jeff's Heroes Initiative. For more than 50 years, Daybreak has been a beacon of hope for young people experiencing homelessness, providing safety, stability, and a path forward for youth across the Miami Valley.

As the region's only youth homeless shelter, Daybreak serves hundreds of vulnerable individuals ages 10 to 24 each year, offering emergency housing, food, counseling, education, and employment support. Their mission is simple but powerful: to ensure every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

Our page will provide updates and pictures about our daily activities and events. We will have monthly special events, and community outings, that revolve around our individuals interests. We provide a personal approach that many large facilities lack because we focus on small group interaction and staffing numbers beyond regulations.
