Applicants must have their own form of transportation, CPR/First Aide, 8-hour DSP training , Medication Administration, 60-hour DD Longevity training are a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes in condition or behavior.
Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in accordance with health standards.
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility and prevent injury.
Document care activities accurately in compliance with agency policies and state regulations; update care plans as needed.
Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being.
Observe and report any signs of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other developmental disabilities to the appropriate team members.
Support residents during emergencies by implementing first aid procedures or CPR when necessary; coordinate with emergency responders if required.
Collaborate with team members including nurses, social workers, and therapists to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs.
