Our Area Transition Resource Fair brought together the community for an evening focused on what comes next after high school—and how to get there with the right support! 💚

The Springfield and Bellows Falls Area CORE Transition Team connected with youth and families exploring adult services and post-secondary opportunities, sharing resources, answering questions, and helping make those next steps feel more approachable and supported. 🤝

Anne Bilodeau, CEO, and George Karabakakis, Retiring CEO, recently joined neighbors, community leaders, and local partners at the annual Governor’s Luncheon in Springfield. 😊

It’s the kind of space where conversations matter and connections stick. We’re glad to have been in the room—listening, building relationships, and staying connected to the people we serve.

Thank you to Springfield Vermont Rotary Club and Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce for bringing it all together! 💚

Many people assume that getting help for alcohol use means long wait times or complicated steps. At HCRS, that’s not the case.

There is currently NO waitlist for substance use services, which means people can access support when they're ready—not weeks or months later. ⚡

With expanded same-day access on the way, getting connected will be even more immediate. If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, help is available right now. 🌳

For many people, their relationship with alcohol begins earlier than they realize. Early experiences with drinking can influence long-term patterns, including how someone copes with stress or navigates challenges later in life. ⏳

What may seem casual or low-risk at the time can shape habits that are harder to change down the road. Understanding how these patterns develop is an important part of prevention and early support.

No matter when it started, it’s never too late to make a change. 💚

Alcohol use is often about more than the drink itself. For many people, it becomes a way to cope with stress, anxiety, or past experiences that are difficult to process.

🧠 This is why alcohol use and mental health are so closely connected. It’s not simply a matter of willpower—it’s about understanding what’s underneath and finding healthier ways to manage it.

At HCRS, we take a whole-person approach, offering support that looks beyond the surface and focuses on what people are really experiencing. Visit our website at hcrs.org 💚

Earlier this month, HCRS was honored to be named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Vermont by VermontBiz and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce! 🏆

This marks our 6th year in a row receiving this recognition—a reflection of the culture behind the work and the people who make it possible.

While the award highlights our workplace, it’s ultimately about what that means for the communities we serve. A strong, supported team leads to stronger, more consistent care, and a better experience for the people who rely on us every day. 💚

For many people, alcohol is part of everyday life—after work, on weekends, and at social gatherings. It’s familiar and widely accepted, which can make it harder to recognize when something has shifted. 🔄

What starts as occasional or social drinking can gradually become something more difficult to manage. That change isn’t always obvious, and it doesn’t look the same for everyone.

💚 If alcohol has started to feel different for you, you’re not alone. Support is available when you’re ready to take that step! https://hcrs.org/adult-services/substance-use-addictions/

There’s something really special about walking into 118 Elliot and taking in our annual art show — realizing the exhibits were created by people right here in this community, people who chose to share something personal and meaningful.

This is the second-to-last weekend before the show comes down, so if it’s been in the back of your mind, now’s the time to visit. 💚

Friday 4–7 PM | Saturday & Sunday 11 AM–3 PM
🎫 Free and open to everyone.
