This week, Congress passed a law to remove age limits on Medicaid Buy-In programs. This is a big win for people with disabilities who can now keep their jobs after age 65 without losing Medicaid coverage.

Thanks to the sustained advocacy of ANCOR advocates & to Congressman Juan Ciscomani for his leadership, access to this essential coverage is secure!

We are incredibly honored to share that CTF Illinois has been named Nonprofit of the Year by the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce 🏆

This recognition means so much to our team and to the families we serve. Being able to operate out of Village of Orland Park, Illinois - Government—a community that truly values service, compassion, and impact—has played a huge role in our growth and mission.

We are grateful to the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce for this honor, and to the Village of Orland Park for being such a supportive home base for nonprofits doing meaningful work. Most of all, thank you to our dedicated team, partners, donors, and community members who make this work possible every single day.

We’re proud to serve here—and even more excited for what’s ahead.

We encourage members and non-members alike to review this information from Illinois Department of Human Services on impending major changes to SNAP.

🚨 SNAP rules are changing on February 1.

Federal changes mean more SNAP recipients will be considered Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) who must meet or be exempt from work requirements to qualify for SNAP.

IDHS has sent initial notices and a copy of an exemption form to all current and new customers who are directly impacted.

SNAP recipients can also now use this screener to see if they are subject to, meeting, or may be eligible for an exemption from SNAP Work Requirements: https://aberp.illinois.gov/screener/ABAWD?lang=EN
