From tonight's reading: Successfully navigating the twists and turns of life while fixing our eyes on Jesus requires a spiritual strategy with four steps:

-We need to first learn how to stop looking back and start looking to Jesus.
-We need to invite Jesus in to help us get unstuck from those places where we never meant to be.
-We need to start moving forward in a way that ensures we’re successfully pursuing all the plans, purpose and promises God has for our lives.
-What’s more, we need to learn how to do all this repeatedly in every area of our lives all throughout our lives, because new challenges will present themselves. Jesus said they would, but he also told us how to move through what life would throw our way.

Here is the reading plan i just started!
I'm reading the plan 'Don't Look Back'. Check it out here: https://www.bible.com/en/reading-plans/36826

Moving on is not a one-time decision; it’s a way of living. But chances are, most of us will find ourselves stuck in the past at some point in our lives – sometimes without even knowing it. In this 7-day Bible Plan from Christine Caine’s book “Don’t Look Back,” you’ll be encouraged to ...

As I connect with individuals navigating life's transitions, I'm reminded that growth and renewal are often the beautiful outcomes of change. Whether it's the end of a relationship, a new job or career path, or a fresh start in a different home, city, state, or country, the possibilities for transformation are endless. While change can be daunting, it's also a powerful catalyst for spiritual growth and alignment with our highest purpose. The Bible encourages us to lean into change, trusting that it's an opportunity for God's renewing power to work in our lives. As we adapt to new circumstances, we can draw strength from the promise of God's faithfulness and provision.

From my reading tonight: God does not asked us for perfection. He ask us to love Him, follow Jesus, and to be made in His likeness, which will, one day, be perfection when we are reunited with Him.

We are asked for surrender, obedience, faith, submission, and devotion. When we fall short, the way forward is not by running from God but running to Him and repenting from the thing that veers us away from Him. It's in the return to Christ that restoration and redemption can be found.

Step 1: Do not run and hide in shame but to move toward admittance and accountability
Step 2 Ask for forgiveness
Step 3 forgive yourself and move onward with a change of heart and behavior ---

this is how we move into maturity in Christ and allow love to cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

December reading plan:

Book of Luke!
Read one chapter daily starting today until Christmas Eve.
(Against my better judgment because I want everyone in their BIBLEs this month not digital .. I'm adding 2 other ways to read!)

IF you do not have a Bible please message me privately.

- Luke provides: the events of Christ's life in chronological order
- teaches us: Jesus—fully God and fully human—moves among the people in compassion to free them from oppression

YouVersion if you skip recap days 7,14,21 you will complete on 12/24
I'm reading the plan 'The Book of Luke - ARISE'. Check it out here: https://www.bible.com/en/reading-plans/49655

AND if you just need a recap... I personally think we all need to read this yearly BUT... here are cliff notes:

I read this and it is so fitting how I feel about one of the essentials of 99:1. Building trusting relationships! I have heard others speak of clients! (I know a lot of therapist and have been a nurse a LONG time so I have heard and see ALOT) It devastated me as a child of God, a person and a healthcare professional! If you need someone to talk to confidentially... you and I will be the only ones knowing that conversation! Unless YOU choose to tell YOUR story! Guaranteed!

Always remember that it’s no small thing for someone to open up and get vulnerable with you. It’s no small thing for someone to share their struggles. It’s no small thing for someone to let you in on their pain, or their fear, or their dreams, or their joys, or the parts of themself they normally keep tucked away.

It’s no small thing for someone to say “I haven’t told anyone else this, but...”

And it’s not that you’re about to get some juicy gossip, or that you’re going to be the first to know the drama. Whatever secrets they choose to spill out and pour on the table between you two aren’t for you to gobble up and discuss later that night through group text, and they definitely are not for casual conversation at your next girls night.

It’s no small thing for someone to TRUST YOU.

Be worthy of that trust. Make room for their truths. Honor their friendship by carrying their burdens and keeping your mouth shut.

It took a lot for them to unclench their fist and let go of that piece of their heart, and would take about ten total seconds for you to ruin it all and unravel everything with your criticism, judgement, and loose lips.

Don’t be the reason somebody believes the worst in friends. Don’t be the reason somebody stops sharing. Don’t be the reason somebody closes themself off from the beautiful gift of sisterhood.

It’s no small thing for someone to trust you.

Love,
Amy

If you are walking a lonely path just now, read John 17. It explains exactly why you are where you are: Jesus has prayed that you may be one with him, as he is one with the Father. Jesus isn’t leaving you all alone; he is getting you alone with…
