What is Occupational Therapy… really?

It’s not just exercises.
It’s the moment someone can:
• Button their shirt again
• Hold a coffee cup without pain
• Use their hands without thinking about it

Physical Therapy helps restore movement.
Occupational Therapy helps you use that movement in your everyday life.

That’s what we focus on here.
Not just how you feel in the clinic—but how you function when you leave it. 💙

April is National Occupational Therapy Month 👏
And around here, that means celebrating the kind of care that helps you get back to real life.

Occupational Therapy isn’t just about exercises—it’s about the things you need and want to do every day.
✔️ Getting dressed without pain
✔️ Cooking a meal
✔️ Using your hands with confidence
✔️ Feeling independent again

At MOSS, that’s exactly what our Occupational Therapist, Dr. Rod Hughes, focuses on.
Not just your injury—but you as a whole person. ✨

Because your life doesn’t happen in a clinic.
It happens at home, at work, and in the moments that matter most.
OT is how we help you get back to it. 💙

Employee Spotlight: Meet Brit 🤍
Brit is one of the first faces you see when you walk into MOSS—and she makes sure you feel it.

“Smile and be grateful you get to see them.”
That’s how she approaches every patient.

To her, patient care isn’t complicated:
✔️ Listen well
✔️ Be patient
✔️ Remember there’s more to someone’s story than what you see

One thing a patient told her that stuck:
“Your kindness and caring about my life goes a long way.”
That’s exactly what she brings to the clinic every day.

When someone’s feeling discouraged, she keeps it simple:
➡️ Look how far you’ve come
➡️ Focus on your “why”
➡️ Keep going

Outside the clinic, you might catch her:
🏹 Channeling Katniss Everdeen at our Halloween party
🎶 Adding “Ganamos La Batalla” to the playlist
🌊 Dreaming about life as a marine biologist
🌮 Or grabbing her favorite Mexican or Indian food

We’re grateful for the energy, perspective, and care Brit brings to MOSS every day. 💙

Lower back pain doesn’t wait… so why should you?

If you’re dealing with stiffness, sharp pain, or that constant ache that just won’t go away — here’s the truth:
👉 Rest alone won’t fix it
👉 Pain meds only mask it
👉 And waiting? Usually makes it worse

What does work is targeted, hands-on treatment that gets to the root of the problem, not just the symptoms.

At MOSS Rehabilitation Center, we specialize in helping you move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what you love, without unnecessary delays.

💡 The best part?
You don’t need a doctor’s referral to get started because you don’t need permission to feel better.

Start your recovery today with MOSS. 817-220-6677

One of the biggest misconceptions about back pain:
“You just have to live with it.” 🙂‍↔️

In most cases, low back pain improves when you address the cause, not just the symptoms.

That means strengthening the right muscles, improving mobility, and rebuilding confidence in movement.

Pain doesn’t have to control your routine. ❌
If your back has been limiting your day-to-day life, we’re here to help!

Your back usually gives warning signs before pain becomes a bigger problem.

Some common ones we see:
❌ stiffness after sitting
❌ recurring aches during the day
❌ discomfort when bending or lifting
These signs often mean your spine needs better support and stability.

The good news? That’s exactly what physical therapy is designed to help with. ✨

If this sounds familiar, we’d love to help! Give us a call today (817) 220-6677, no referral needed!

Morning low back stiffness? You’re not alone.

Try this gentle stretch before coffee.
👉🏻 Slow. Controlled. No forcing it.

Small daily movement habits help your back stay flexible and supported — and that adds up over time.

Consistency > intensity.

Save this for tomorrow morning!
