Know where your food and money donations are going.
Utah Food Bank, is NOT the same as Community Action Services and Food Bank
With the new dispensory and donation drop off of Utah Food Bank in Springville, I fear that many will miss the opportunity to help their neighbors, as that food and ALL of the monetary donations go to Salt Lake County. Yes, they do donate some food only for pick up locations. However, Community Action Services and Food Bank gives their food and monetary donations back to the people of Utah county, Wasatch county, and Summit county. Not just food, but rent assistance, vehicle repair, home buyers classes, back packs for kids, kitchen for small start ups, Circles program to help families, tax prep, and so many other services.
