This precious baby was born at only 22 weeks and is now at home after spending 6 months in the hospital.

Praise report! In December, just days before Christmas, a true Christmas miracle took place.

A baby in England went home from the hospital! Baby Desire was born at just 22 weeks gestation. She weighed 13 ounces. Less than one pound. A standard can of soda weighs about 12 ounces. Desire weighed only one ounce more than that. Against every expectation, she survived.

She spent nearly six months in the hospital fighting for her life. Tube by tube. Breath by breath. Day after day. Just days before Christmas, Desire went home with her parents to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

A patient is a person, no matter how small. Life does not begin at viability, convenience, or location. Life and value begin at the moment of conception.

Every once in a while, a message arrives that quietly captures the heart of our mission. Hailey shared one of those moments with us:

“I contacted your hotline two years ago. I’m lying here with my 16-month-old I can’t imagine life without… I’m so grateful he is here and healthy and thriving.”

Pause and take that in — a thriving child who almost didn’t get the chance to live.

This is why Heartbeat exists.

This is why we fight for moms and dads and their unborn babies.

This is why your support matters.

Scripture reminds us, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). Throughout 2025, we have seen that light again and again — in babies welcomed into the world, families restored, faith rekindled, and hope rebuilt where fear once lived.
