We are always looking for individuals who either live or vacation in our are to become part of the South Shore FD family. National Volunteer Week isn’t about recognition for recognition’s sake—it’s about acknowledging the people who show up when it matters most.

Thank you to our South Shore Fire Department Volunteers—past, present, and future!

Our volunteers don’t clock in for a paycheck. They respond at all hours, leave their families, miss holidays, and step into situations most people run from.

They train. They prepare. They serve.

Because when the call comes, someone has to answer.

That responsibility doesn’t belong to “someone else.” It belongs to people right here in this community—people who choose to step up.

This week, we recognize the commitment, the sacrifice, and the quiet professionalism of those who serve without expectation.
