The connection between stress and digestion is something many people experience but don’t always understand.
This month’s focus, the T9 vertebra, is located in the mid-back and is often associated with digestive function.
When stress builds up in the body, it can impact how efficiently your system works — sometimes showing up as discomfort, tension, or imbalance.
Supporting proper alignment helps your body stay regulated and better equipped to handle daily stress.

Stressed Spelled Backwards | This week’s “Dessert Menu” special:
Daily Movement
A short walk.
A quick stretch.
Time to step away and reset.
It doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to be consistent. Looking for a great place to do that? After your next appointment maybe stroll down Historic Downtown St. Charles!

If stress had a menu, this one might be a favorite:
“The Reset”
• One adjustment
• A chance to breathe
• A moment to step away from the day
When your spine is aligned, your body can adapt to stress more efficiently — and that can make a noticeable difference in how you feel.
Sometimes the best reset is simply giving your body what it needs.

Stress doesn’t just stay in your head — it shows up in your body.
Tight shoulders.
Mid-back tension.
Digestive discomfort.
Feeling run down even after rest.
Your body is constantly adapting to stress, and over time, that can affect how you feel day to day.
The goal isn’t to eliminate stress completely — it’s to help your body handle it better.
That’s where proper alignment, movement, and consistent care come in.

This month we’re focusing on the T9 vertebra and how it connects to stress, digestion, and overall balance in the body.
In this Lunch & Learn, Dr. Crumbaugh breaks down how this area of the spine plays a role in how your body processes stress — and why proper alignment matters more than most people realize.
When your spine is functioning well, your body is better equipped to adapt, recover, and maintain balance day to day.
Take a few minutes to watch and learn how T9 may be impacting how you feel.

March brought a lot of energy, connection, and growth to the office.
From new faces walking through the door to familiar ones continuing their care, we’re grateful for every step of the journey.
As we move into a new month, we’re excited to continue helping our community feel and function at their best.

We’ve all been there… trying to explain exactly what’s going on 😅
But the truth is — neck pain, tension, and discomfort don’t have to be complicated.
When your spine isn’t moving or functioning the way it should, your body starts to compensate — and that’s when things begin to feel off.
The goal isn’t just to “describe the pain”… it’s to actually address what’s causing it.
Better movement.
Less tension.
More energy to get through your day.

Every patient who walks through our doors has a starting point — and many times, it begins with someone they trust.
A simple conversation. A recommendation. A moment where someone says, “You should try this.”
That small step can lead to meaningful change — improved movement, less tension, better energy, and a stronger foundation for long-term health.
That’s what makes our community so special. It grows through people who care enough to share something that’s helped them.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 2015. While finishing my bachelor’s degree I enrolled at the prestigious Logan University,
College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. I have since graduated after a 3.5 year intensive program as a Doctor of Chiropractic. I am certified in acupuncture and physical therapy and am a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in the state of Missouri.
As a chiropractic student, I extended my studies by becoming a member of the Chi Rho Sigma professional chiropractic fraternity. As a member of this fraternity I was mentored by practicing doctors and I mentored underclassman as they came up through the program in topics ranging from anatomy to chiropractic technique. I was also the leader of a pledge class which consisted of planning and implementing weekly learning opportunities on topics such as basic sciences, chiropractic techniques, and business basics. I also attended extra seminars where I studied business basics, pediatric adjusting techniques, and acupuncture.
My experiences have given me a great opportunity to learn to care for a wide variety of ailments from which patients of all ages may suffer. My mission is to facilitate the restoration of health through natural chiropractic care, allowing my patients to live their lives to the fullest.
I grew up in mid-Missouri in a small farming town where I learned the value of hard work and honesty. I have been married to my husband Brett, also my high school sweetheart, for 3 years. We have a 1 year old son named Carson along our 2 family pets. Our desire for a “small town feel” in the city has led us to this wonderful community. We could not be more excited to begin serving the community and growing our family here in Saint Charles!
