69% of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander individuals surveyed said they’d be hesitant to perform Hands-Only CPR out of fear that they will hurt the person. But the biggest risk is in not acting.

If a teen or adult collapses, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

According to the AHA’s CPR Facts and Stats,

“The location of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) most often occurs in homes/residences (73.4%), followed by public settings (16.3%), and nursing homes (10.3%). If performed immediately, CPR can double or triple the chance of survival from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.”

By being properly trained and educated, you could be the reason someone has a 2-3x better chance of survival.
