Melissa at Touch of Grace Massage Therapy specializes in Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). MFR is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue (fascia) restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. MFR is good for trauma, post surgical procedures, stress, poor posture, aches, pains, inflammatory issues and improving and increasing mobility. As the fascia begins to release during the MFR treatment, blood and lymph flow more freely to the tissues. MFR will then help reduces inflammation and makes way for healing to begin. The focus is on the client and what the clients’ needs are. Each individual client is unique and together Melissa and the client develop the best treatment plan for the client’s goals. Whether you are here for relaxation or a more therapeutic massage, Melissa will work out the tension and leave you feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated. Melissa is a graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute and has attended many John Barnes MFR seminars. Also, Melissa is a Reiki Master and can provide energy work along with MFR to aid in the overall healing of the clients mind, body and spirit.
