Maternal Mental Health Day

A day that we raise awareness of maternal mental health issues, so that more birthing parents will get treatment and fewer will suffer.

The Climb recognizes that Maternal Mental Health Awareness Day is not inclusive.

Words matter. Those who identify with maternal are not the only ones who can be affected by perinatal mental health.

💙 We see you struggling with fertility.
💙 We see you waiting for adoption approval.
💙 We see you who are post-abortion
💙 We see you birthing parents.
💙 We see you Black, Indigenous, and People of Global Majority who fight an oppressive health system.
💙 We see you partners.

The statistics aren't just numbers. They are people who deserve care and support. We are stronger together.

You are not alone.
You are not to blame.
With help, you will be well.

We slowed; We paused; We rested and we reflected. Showing up for families, including our own, means entering into and holding space for the joyous and heavy aspects of life. Showing up for social media can downright feel impossible at times, or maybe that’s just us 😳 And yet, here we are. Hello 💙

It's Celebrate Babies Week!!!

Michigan is home to 333,798 babies birth to three years of age, representing 3.3 percent of the state’s population. Now more than ever, the mental health of our youngest Michiganders needs our recognition and support to be protected and nurtured. This Celebrate Babies Week is time to simply pause and celebrate not only our babies, but all of the often-unrecognized hard work and commitment of all of those who care for, love, educate, provide services for our babies, young children and their families.

We are honored to share this video of Michigan's Governor, Gretchen Whitmer to kick-off Celebrate Babies Week!

Join us to find a way to celebrate the unique wonder and opportunity that only happens during the first three years of life.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who help to support our Michigan babies and young children. You are true heroes who are building our next generation one relationship at a time.
