Panic attacks are real, overwhelming, and more common than you think. But with the right tools and support, they can be managed.

🚨 Recognize Common Signs:

~Rapid heartbeat ❤️‍🔥
~Shortness of breath 🫁
~Dizziness or chest pain 💫
~Numbness or chills
~Feeling like you're “losing control”

✅ How to Cope:

🖐️ Try the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique
🌬️ Deep, steady breaths (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4)
💬 Remind yourself: "This will pass. I am safe."

While fireworks are a celebration for many, they can be deeply distressing for Veterans and others living with PTSD. The loud booms and flashes may trigger traumatic memories, anxiety, or flashbacks.

💡 Here’s how you can help:
✅ Give neighbors a heads-up if you plan to set off fireworks
✅ Consider attending public shows instead of setting off your own
✅ Spread awareness and compassion this holiday
