Flourishing Lives

We help kids and families flourish through dedicated, child-led occupational and speech therapy. THERAPEUTIC FUN: We use therapy, disguised as play.

Our team empowers children to reach their full potential, focusing on individual strengths and goals in a nurturing environment for lasting growth. At Flourishing Lives we use play to develop gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and challenge our patients to adapt to an ever-changing sensory environment. We help them process things that they don't understand and cannot communicate. Trauma, anxie

ty, sensory aversion, or any kind of problem that is hindering a patient's daily life can be greatly improved with a highly trained occupational therapist, who can help them process things on a physical level that they may not be able to understand on an emotional level. A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF OUR UNIQUE OT TREATMENT APPROACH

TRUST: We build a safe therapeutic relationship with the patient and their family to facilitate open communication at the clinic and at home. EMPOWERMENT: We use patient driven, therapist guided activities to empower patients to take responsibility for their healing while we develop the patient's ability to process sensory input. In this positive environment, we are able to get to the root of the problem with less resistance from the patient. Flourishing Lives was established as Sensory Systems Clinic by Sandra Glovak, OTR/L in 1982.

When children feel pressured to “𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺,” they often shut down. But when interactions are playful, silly, and engaging, kids are much more likely to 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀, and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆.

Giulia brings experience from school, outpatient, and hospital settings, but 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. She loves supporting children with language, phonological, and articulation challenges while creating a space where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Her approach is rooted in 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 where they are, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
