The Activity Department is still in need of candy for our Halloween Event. We are expecting a great deal of children out on Halloween trick or treating. All donation are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the building at any time.

This weeks wellness win!
 At St Clair nursing center wellness isn’t just a program. It’s a way of life through flourish wellness. We create opportunities for our residents to live with vitality, meaning, and personal fulfillment at every age and ability. 
Today we explored many of the dimensions of wellness. With our annual hayride, we were able to implement environmental wellness, social wellness, and emotional wellness.

What an uplifting way to start the week, having Elvis in the building on a Monday is truly a dream come true. The women cheered, and the men clapped along. There was not one single person without a beaming smile.

Shiver me timbers! Just in case you were stuck in the landlubber zone, today was Talk Like a Pirate Day and oh boy, did we go whole hog! Pirates were swashbuckling around the building, searching high and low for loot. We chowed down on scrumptious grub and grog, and then gathered 'round to take some treasure-ific pics to commemorate this totally epic day. To say the least, we had a swashbuckling blast!

Lifting Each Other Up

Some days in long-term care feel heavier than others. The work is demanding, and the challenges can seem endless.

One day, a nurse noticed the exhaustion in her coworkers eyes. She simply said: “I’ve got this hallway for a while. Go take a breath.”

The small act of kindness made all the difference. The CNA returned refreshed, later lending a hand to another teammate. The shift ended with every resident cared for and the staff a little stronger together.

💙 This is what makes the difference in long-term care: when we lift each other up, even in small ways, the work becomes lighter, and no one carries the load alone.

Our autumn quilt raffle is now underway, running from today until October 31. A family member has kindly donated a stunning, handcrafted queen-sized quilt, ideal for snuggling up during the colder months ahead.
