For our August , we’d like you to meet Janet!

She is always a delight with her fellow residents as well as staff. She is eager to help wherever she can and engages a lot in social activities.

One thing she loves about living at The Blake is that the people who work here are helpful, positive, and inclusive. “We got a good chef who prepares wonderful meals, and the service is always great.”

If she could give one piece of advice, it would be: “Follow the Lord in all of His teachings and remember your friends and relatives in all your actions.”

Fun fact: She is very passionate about nursing. “I worked in all fields; it was the best years of my life.”

Janet has brought so much life to The Blake, and we are so lucky to have her!

We celebrated National Senior Day with a 20’s themed Concert in the Courtyard! 🎶🕺✨ The music, dancing, and retro fun brought everyone together for a lively celebration.

For our August , we would like to recognize Kimberly! She has been with The Blake for three months and has become a vital part of our community.

Kimberly is our Reunion Program Coordinator here at The Blake. She is an extremely hard worker who always goes above and beyond for our residents. She is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational activities for residents in Memory Care. She also assists the Memory Care Director in ensuring residents are engaged physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Her favorite part about working at The Blake is:
“The unique opportunity to form strong, meaningful relationships with residents and their families. I enjoy creating a positive, interactive environment with team members that fosters fun, laughter, and thoughtfulness to bring wellness and value to all.”

Fun Fact:
“I love reading poetry, books filled with quotes, and listening to the spoken word.”
