Alumni highlight from the Couple and Family Therapy MA program - Morgan Gaeke!

Morgan is currently an LMFT working in rural Missouri. She is a warm and thoughtful clinician who, in hindsight, sees live supervision and support of faculty and peers during anxious first sessions as incredibly impactful. The experiences set her up to feel confident and competent even at early stages of therapist development.

Morgan offers this wisdom to current and future SLU MA students - “My education at SLU was priceless. I remember being much more prepared for face-to-face clinical work than my counterparts at other graduate schools when I started my internship at BJC Hospice. Plus I actually miss having my classmates and professor giving me feedback from behind the mirror!”

The Medical Family Therapy Program at SLU hosted the morning wellness event for the university. Donuts and Dogs was a HUGE hit! Over 200 students attended our morning event. A big thanks to Purina and Duo Touch Therapy Dogs for their help with the event! Our hope is to continue partnering with these two organizations for future events and the possibility of animal-assisted therapy training for students. ; ; ;
