Today, June 19th, we celebrate Juneteenth, marking the official end of slavery in the U.S. on June 19, 1865. This was the day Union troops brought news of freedom to Galveston, Texas.

This day commemorates the extraordinary resilience and enduring strength of African Americans. Despite centuries of unimaginable hardship and systemic oppression, they continuously fought for equality and profoundly shaped American culture and society.
