Our February Employee Spotlight is Emma! Emma has worked for UCP Heartland for four months as a Teacher’s Aide at our Child Development Center in Columbia, MO. In this role, she cares for children in the infant room and assists in the other rooms with the older children as needed.

Emma enjoys seeing the babies hit milestones and grow into their personalities. She is proud to know the lasting impact she has on each child, even from a young age. She shared she thought the babies may not remember her when they moved up rooms, but she still gets big smiles from them when she sees them.

She feels others should work for UCP Heartland because of the opportunity and environment for professional and personal growth. “I look forward to coming to work every day; that alone would easily make me recommend UCP Heartland for others to work at. As a DSP, you’ll help adults with disabilities with daily tasks, hygiene, community activities, and making choices that bring joy and independence.

🔹All shifts are awake shifts
🔹Must be available for at least one weekend shift
🔹5–7 days of paid training at our corporate office: Mon–Fri, 8:45 AM–4:00 PM
