Ellis spiked a fever this morning and had gone down hill since. We were moved to the PICU this afternoon. We know that she has a blood infection and they are giving her antibiotics but in the mean time, she is requiring high flow oxygen and her blood pressure is low. Ugh, where to begin? Ellis’ biopsy results came back normal so definitely not what we were expecting. So now they are going to be doing more testing tomorrow to try and determine the cause of what’s going on.

Thankfully, Ellis seems to be feeling pretty good.

Another day in the hospital has passed without a ton of answers. So far, all of the test that test for infection as the source her fever, vomiting, and diarrhea have been negative. Tomorrow they are going to do scope to check out her GI tract. The last time they scoped her, the biopsy showed GVHD. Tomorrow, they are going to do more biopsies to confirm this diagnosis. We’re hoping that we can get some answers from this test. 🤞🏻😩

Back in the ER with yet another fever. 😕 unfortunately, Ellis is at high risk for sepsis (an overwhelming blood infection) so anytime she gets a fever, it’s off to the ER we go. What’s so frustrating is we can’t seem to find a source of her fever. Last week when we were here, all her test came back negative. So now we’re just waiting for our room and hoping we get some answers this time. 🤞🏻
