Trauma is designed to eradicate or destroy parts of our normal psychological functioning. Whatever parts of our psyche is affected it becomes non-functional or dysfunctional. Let’s look at it this way… We can “resuscitate” an individual from unconsciousness or an apparent death by using CPR or an automated external defibrillator (AED) on the physical body. The defibrillator uses pads that are applied to the chest. This allows an electrical current to pass to the heart and reset it to normal functioning. In the case of a traumatic experience the thought processes are interrupted therefore, parts of the psychological functioning cease to mature/grow or even live.
Many of us grow in our physical bodies and have never been “resuscitate” in parts of our psychological functioning. Unfortunately, we substitute “resuscitate tools” for “masking tools”.
Thought: Have you been “psychologically resuscitated” or have you become a “professional mask wearer”?
Need a psychological AED?
Acknowledge what has happen to you.
Engage in your psychological well-being in a positive manner.
Declare and defeat negative thought patterns over your mind by making positive declarations and decisions. (AED)
Ezekiel 37 v 4-5 (NKV) “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, here the word of the Lord! Thus, says the Lord God to these bones “Surely, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
“I pray that the breath of God resuscitates every dead place that was damage by the traumatic experience and that your psychological well-being will be restored to normal functioning”.
