The Onyx stone has been hanging out with it’s friend this holiday season, Bernie Bonebreak, from Axes Physical Therapy. Bernie always is creating mischief wherever he goes which frequently leads to injury. Good thing he knows good orthopedic physicians. First stop, x-rays.🦴🩻🌲🪨

🔍 Did you know? Spine injuries are among the most common and costly workplace injuries. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), back and spine injuries account for nearly 20% of all workplace injuries, with lifting, repetitive motion, and slips or falls as leading causes. These injuries can lead to prolonged recovery times, affecting both the worker's quality of life and their return-to-work timeline. Dr. David Minges understands the complexity of spinal injuries as well as the importance of getting injured workers back to work as quickly and safely as possible

Prioritizing spine health through ergonomics, safe lifting techniques, and early intervention can make a big difference in reducing these injuries and supporting a healthier workforce. However, when those injuries happen, we are here for you!

It’s a bittersweet week here at Onyx Spine and Orthopedic Institute as we have to say goodbye to our wonderful Work Comp Coordinator Amy Peterson. Amy and her husband are moving up north to Iowa where new opportunities and adventures await them. We couldn’t be happier for her and this exciting time in her life, but we will miss her so incredibly much! Amy has been such an integral part of our practice, and all of our patients and referral sources have enjoyed working with her as much as we have.

Congratulations and good luck, Amy! You will always be part of the Onyx family!
