The AIMS program has been busy lately with all things anatomy!

It was our honor and privilege here at Saint Louis University to host the 2nd annual Anato-Bee.

The Anato-Bee is a national high school competition focused on anatomical sciences, including anatomy, histology, and embryology. The competition is designed to encourage STEM education and collaboration among students. Winners of the competition gain access to valuable STEM opportunities, such as summer research experiences and camps.

We welcomed 36 students from 10 different states to our beautiful campus here at Saint Louis University. To say these students were amazing doesn't quite do them justice! We know that each of them will change the world of healthcare, medicine, research and science some day! It was our honor to be a small part of their journey on to greater things!

A big thank you to the Anato-Bee team of Mary Piscura, Ph.D. (Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine- Auburn), Dana Peterson, MA, M.Ed, Ph.D (Drexel University), and Jenna Hagerty, M.S., Ph.D. (Thomas Jefferson University) for allowing us to partner with them to bring this amazing experience to high school students throughout the country!

Last week the Adventures in Medicine and Science team headed out to Jefferson City to take in STEM day at the Capitol!

Each year the Missouri Chamber’s Math and Science Coalition hosts its annual STEM Day at the Capitol celebration and exhibit. Hundreds of students, educators and business professionals showcase some of the innovative efforts underway in Missouri to encourage and inspire tomorrow’s STEM talent.

We were honored to be a part of this special day at our state's capitol! We loved meeting students and teachers from around the state of Missouri and speaking with the many senators and representatives that stopped by!

Did you know that the human brain isn't fully developed until the age of 25? or that the average human brain weighs about 3 pounds?

The human brain is truly fascinating, and understanding its development and potential is so important, especially for young students. Dr. Paul Young's emphasis on both the brain's capabilities and the challenges it faces is crucial for helping students make informed choices. Engaging them with such knowledge can inspire curiosity and responsible decision-making.

We offer programs for both high school and middle school students!
